I can see how it would vary from one product to another, but following the pattern of questions introduced in this guide:
Activation: 'What percentage of new users have onboarded and experienced your product’s value?'
We aim for users to download the app and complete a purchase within a week of signing up.
Engagement: 'How engaged are your active users?'
We typically think about engagement as the volume of app downloads and their subsequent recurring visits to our app/ purchases. Furthermore we like to ask - After a user completes their first purchase how likely are they to keep visiting the app and interacting with the product.
