Events not appearing under Users > Explore

I setup mix panel as follows:

  1. Added the script tag to the top of the page
  2. Called mixpanel.identify(user.email) on login
  3. Called mixpanel.track('Event name', {'date': this.date})

I see the identify event under the live feed but no data in any of the other analysis screens such as Users > Explore.

I’m not sure from the documentation if I need to call alias as well and/or create a profile?

Thanks for any help on this!

Update:

The problem was that I had enabled the following setting in Chrome:

Send a ‘Do Not Track’ request with your browsing traffic

Once I disabled this the tracking works fine.

Update

I changed the login event to include the following statements:

    mixpanel.identify(user.email)
    mixpanel.people.set({'$email': user.email })

Now the profile appears in the Users > Explore screen.  But the activity feed still doesn’t include the following event which gets logged later on:

mixpanel.track('Event name’, {'date': this.date})
