Time based reports

I want to generate a report which will allow me to check activities of the users at a particular time. However, I need to club together the hours of days for multiple days. What I mean is, on the X-axis of the report, I should be able to see the hours of a day (ranging 1-24), and on the Y-axis should be the count of all events. Can anyone provide me inputs on this?   In the above chart, I want to club together all the events that happened between, say 8.00 am and 9.00 am for the last 30 days.

Error 502 bad gateway

Fetching the cluster of distinct IDs for a user

Hi all, I believe I understand how the new Merge ID method works (by creating a cluster of multiple distinct IDs that represent a single user, and electing one of those as the canonical distinct ID). We have a use case, however, in which we have to export all the user’s mixpanel data to our DW to join with other internal bases, for multiple different analyses. Through the Events API I can fetch the distinct_id that generated each event, and through the Engage API I can fetch the canonical distinct IDs. Apparently, mixpanel will even update the distinct ID on old events to the new canonical distinct ID once the Merge is done. That would make events infinitely mutable -- as its distinct ID can change at any point in time to a new elected canonical distinct ID. Is that perception correct? Are events mutable? If so, that makes exporting events a problem: we’d have to export every historical event everyday, just to make sure we have its most recent version (the one in which the canonical di

JQL query runs into weird syntax error

Hello, I have the following JQL code to return users and the count of their events within certain days of their sign up date. JQL for unique page visitors

How to generate Export API data

Hey team,We are getting empty response while using export api.Request url is : https://data.mixpanel.com/api/2.0/export?from_date=2020-08-21&to_date=2021-08-21 We don’t able to generate that data which above api expected to return. We need data of last 1 year which we can’t where as it returning data before the 2 year.We have already checked the other tickets. Any idea what can be done here?

Cohorts syncing with Mailchimp more frequently

Hi there, we have successfully integrated Mixpanel with Mailchimp (our cohorts are being pulled through and the correct tags being applied/removed when they sync). We then use the tags to ensure that the user is in the correct ‘customer journey’.However, it appears they only update every 2 hours or so. As we are using the cohorts for onboarding, there are multiple ‘customer journeys’ in Mailchimp and making sure they are in the correct one at all times is very important.i.e., we wouldn’t want a user to receive an email reminding them to activate their account if they’ve already done it. Is their a way to ensure the cohorts sync more frequently with Mailchimp?

JQL event missing in query

Hi all,I’m using JQL to create a custom dashboard.function main(){ return Events({ from_date: params.from_date, to_date: params.to_date, event_selectors: [ {event: 'Job Listing Viewed'}, {event: 'Apply Now'} ] }).filter((listing) => { return listing.properties['Job Id'] === params.job_id })}This appears to work fine, however the `Apply Now` event doesn’t return anything but Mixpanel itself shows there should be 3 events matching the criteria.Even if I pass `Apply Now` on its own. I get the same thing. Any idea why this is?

Measure sum of property after another event (eg purchase revenue after a campaign)

To simplify the scenario, we send an email to users and they click a link (Email Clicked event w/ Campaign Name as the first event), and after they click that link, they’ll do a purchase or similar (Purchase event w/ Amount - second event).Essentially, we want to be able to use a funnel report (which I think is the correct type of report for this) to identify users that clicked the link, and then within eg 1hr, completed a purchase, but more importantly, we want to be able to get the Order Amount from that specific purchase, so we can see how much a campaign (or another action more probably) drove in sales.In our real scenario, it’s more that they did a first event with some common field to the second event, and we’re attempting to measure a total for the ‘Amount’ property for the event (ideally both events, but we’ll take it if we can data for just one), but ONLY when they performed that second event shortly after the first event (hence attempting to use the funnel report).Should we i

My Events have a duration property and I want to get a chart showing the duration of each individual event - is this possible?

I have a number of events, lets call them:IMPORT EXPORT TERMINATEEach of these activities takes some time to complete, and I log ‘duration’ as a property against the event - which contains the time in millisecondsI am able to get some data out easy enough, which shows things like:How often a particular event ran in a day/week/month What is the average duration for a particular event What I am now trying to do is get a chart that shows, for a particular date/time range, the duration of each individual event in the order that they happened.Imagine a line chart where the y-axis plots the duration and along the x-axis is each individual event and the line goes up and down following the duration.Is this possible?

Week wise breakdown of DAUs

I am trying to build a report that breaks down the DAUs in a day based on their Install date. I’ve been able to build a report that does that by breaking down the report by the “First Open Date” and it builds a decent report. However, what I am unable to do with such a report is to compare it with a previous week, since the labels in this report are hardcoded (like 01 Jan - 08 Jan) it is unable to compare it with a previous time segment (like a week, month etc).Heres how I would like this report to work like, Say I have 50 users in a day, I would like this report then to tell me how many of them joined the app in the current week, how many joined the app one week before, two weeks before, three weeks before and so on. For eg this is how the report could look like Total DAUs : 50 (On 27 march 2022)Labels               UsersCurrent                 101 week before       152 weeks before      173 weeks.                8 Since the labels in the report are relative and not hardcoded dates, I

Loaded a page WAU but having completed a specific event at least once in past

Hello, Sorry if this is very specific. I am looking for WAU of “loaded a page” but the users need to have completed a specific event in the past (registered for our site).   The reason I want to see this is because the event loaded a page is (I believe) for all users, but we really want to see how many users come back to the site after showing interest in what we have to offer. My thinking is that we can add a custom event “loaded a page” on the pages we want to track (checking first to make sure the user has an account with us before sending), but before I do that I want to check if there is a built in way on Mixpanel to do this. Thanks!!!!

Unable to find the MailChimp Integration in my MixPanel Integrations

I am following this guide to connect MailChimp for Mixpanel: https://mailchimp.com/help/connect-disconnect-mixpanel/ So I managed to authorize the "MailChimp for Mixpanel" integration.Next I need to activate the integration in Mixpanel's Integration manager.So I navigate to Mixpanel.From the Data Management menu, choose Integrations.All is fine...My problem is with the next instruction "Scroll to the Mailchimp integration and click it to expand."In my integrations I simply don't see a MailChimp integration! Getting "terminated early" response in Export API

Hey Team, We’re getting 200 “Terminated early” response while using export api.Request url is : https://data.mixpanel.com/api/2.0/export?from_date=2021-01-01&to_date=2021-01-21 We’re passing the Base64 API Token  under Authorization : Basic <token> however still getting the same issue.We have already checked the other tickets and the users have been able to get resolution. Any idea what can be done here?

Export Audience to Facebook Ads Resulting in High Audience Size Drop

I exported audience cohort from Mixpanel to Facebook below with a size of 630KIn the export Status, it shows that Mixpanel successfully exported around 320K audienceBut when I checked on Facebook, it shows that only 8K of custom audience has been built from the export. Could anyone please advise what may be the discrepancy reason (320K vs 8K) and how can I increase the audience size?

Any limitation on insights API

We are using https://mixpanel.com/api/2.0/insights  [doc https://developer.mixpanel.com/reference/insights] to fetch insights via API.Just wanted to understand if there are any limitations on using this API: likeAny limit on number of data points? If that number is in thousands will it create any problem?  Any rate limit imposed on it?We are using to fetch user level aggregated data and sync it with our backend. Is this the recommended way to do it?
