Yesterday I was making updates to my email message campaigns in the Messages & Experiments tab.  Today the tab is completely gone!   What did I miss?   Is this a bug or has the information moved elsewhere?

Nevermind it’s back.   Must have been a temporary issue.  Annoying but I’m glad it’s now back.

I also cannot for the life of me find the messages section! Thought I was losing my marbles...

Hi @marty  & @EMM  —

All accounts with Messages should be able to see the feature. It was removed from your project as an error on our side, which is why you were unable to find it — I am so sorry that this happened to all of you!

I personally went into each of your orgs to make sure that this is showing in your project. If you are still unable to see this section please let me know (and DM me the project ID that you are working in). In the case that you are members of more than one org I may have missed it.

Thank you so much for raising this concern and please let me know if you run into any other issues!

Hi! Messages & Experiments is also gone from our account. I keep trying to upgrade to see it again but it is all gone.

Anyone currently using our messaging feature should continue to have access. If you were previously using messages and it was removed from your account in error please DM me!

I realised you discontinued the product which is a shame as it was one of your superhero features. Mixpanel was the only solution to offer affordable 360 analytics and engagement and now its just an analytics tool. So sad.

Can anyone confirm whether the Messages feature (specifically the ability to email specific cohorts of users) is still available in the Growth plan. We’re currently on the Starter plan but more than happy to upgrade for this feature if it’s still available.

If your plan has Messages and Experiments, you would find it in the top Nav:

That said,  we are not investing further in our Messages & Experiments feature, and it is not available anymore to new customers.

We made this decision so that we can focus all of our resources on product analytics. This has always been Mixpanel's foundation, and before long, every company in the world will be using this technology. We see near-limitless opportunity for making analysis simpler, faster and more powerful, and are excited about the capabilities we can unlock for our customers by dedicating all of our time here.

We recommend pairing Mixpanel’s product analytics with engagement marketing from one of our partners. Our preferred messaging partners Airship, Insider, Iterable, Leanplum, MoEngage, OneSignal all have strong bi-directional integrations with Mixpanel, and more partners can be found on our Integrations Directory.

Hi @cherise we’re currently using emails from Mixpanel Messages and are planning on using in-app messages and push notifications shortly.

Before we invest time into this, and given your comments above about Messages & Experiments no longer being made available to new users, we’re keen to understand Mixpanel’s plans for supporting this feature for existing users.

Are there any plans on Mixpanel withdrawing this feature for existing users? Are there any plans for Mixpanel reducing/withdrawing support for this feature? Is there a sunsetting timeline?

Many thanks,

John
