Is there a way to purge duplicate profiles and undo having used so many People accounts?

We had a handing issue with how new accounts were created in our mobile app. As a result, multiple Mixpanel People profiles were created. This ran up the number of People Profiles that we get in our Mixpanel plan. I'd like to know how we can purge the duplicates but also that it would reduce our People Profiles count as they were created erroneously.

I think the best way to do that is to send an email to mix panel asking about canceling all of the profiles.
