Setting Up Mixpanel Dashboards to Focus on Product Usage and Not Conversion

I am looking at advice on how to set-up my mixpanel account and dashboards to focus less on conversion and more on our products usage.

The product that we have installed mixpanel on is an internal tool used at my company that enables certain employees to do their work (the tool is designed to allow our employees to review case files and to then make decisions on those case files).

Due to the way our tool is designed, "conversion" isn't something that my company is concerned about since there is a not a single path that our employees follow when they do their work on our app.

I would love to set-up our mixpanel instance to better focus on event tracking and calculating the amount of time that our users spend in our app during different things.
