Hi @pspratik

You can achieve your first requirement by using “All Events” within the dropdown for Insights.

Once you’ve selected this you can add a breakdown for the event by a Mixpanel property called “Event Name”, which will show you the name of each event, and allow you to set your own timeframe to see trends and patterns.

If you want to “bookmark” a few events the best thing to do is head into Lexicon, find the events you want, and add a Tag to them. Once they are tagged they will appear not only in your main dropdown, but also at the top underneath this tag. Here are some examples we use internally;

Let me know if these work, or if you have any other questions.

Thanks a lot,

Matt

In a similar vein, is there a way to look at events and their breakdown? Say for the event “Page View”, I want to see samples of it in the past 7 days, and inspect how they all look like. Is there a way to do this?

apart from the event drop menu in insight report as mentioned by @pspratik you can also view the event list in lexicon by going into data management > lexicon.

Thanks @Muffaddal Qutbuddin. However, in Lexicon, after clicking into an event, it doesn’t seem that we can see the latest instances of that event. How can we see examples of the events?

@Osma  So lexicon only allows to see the events that mixpanel is receiving and lets you rename and hide events. To see examples you will have to use insight report.

Event listing is better in lexicon but to interact with the actual event you have to go to the report.
