Is "distinct property values across all events" available (not user aggregated) ?

Hello,

We would like to simply build an histogram based on the count of “distinct” events based on a property value (but NOT aggregated on the user). Is this possible ? If not do you have any idea when this feature will be available ?

Imo this is a core feature necessary to be able to track usage of certain features across time in our app no matter who has used it and build top level KPIs.

Hi @Ronan

When you’re selecting your value type in Insights you should see the option for “Aggregate Properties per User” and then you can choose “Distinct Count”

Do you have this option? Does this solve your problem?

Thanks a lot,

Matt

Hello,

Thanks for your answer but no because this aggregates results PER USER => it splits the result per user. I would like the distinct count based ONLY on a property for all the events of the same “type” whatever the distinct_id (user) the event is related to.

Hi @Ronan : this is now available!

We’ve just launched a new feature called “Distinct count of property values” that calculates the number of property segments (while breaking down by a property) - you can read more about it here: https://community.mixpanel.com/announcements-6/new-feature-alert-distinct-count-of-property-values-is-now-in-open-beta-4501 and here is a quick video walkthrough.

Best,

Moinak
