I create a funnel consisting of 2 steps. The 2nd step has 7 comparison events.The problem is that for the first step, the counts are different for each column, even though presumably those columns are there not because they are separate actions (after all, there’s only one action in step 1), and I thought the first step (Page View) is separated into columns to make it visually easier to track between different steps.However, as you can see in the screenshot, they have different counts such as 135, 132, 160, and so on.Why is that? When I switch to uniques, the columns get similar, but this time the counts in the 2nd step don’t add up to what the columns show (screenshot below). How can interpret these numbers? And what to do to get same counts for first steps (screenshot above)?
We have an event called “Page View” and another event called “Referred to Partner Site”We have a Homepage and we have various content pages.A user may convert (trigger the “Refer to Partner Site”) on either the Homepage or one of the content pages deeper in the site If we are using a Flow Report broken down by pages, are the Homepage and Content Page flows exclusive? Does the content page conversion overlap with conversion rates for the homepage (for a user who went through homepage and converted at a content page?)
We have some events sent from web and some events from our backend server, since those events are coming from different source it is impossible for them to share the same user ID (we use temporary user ID), but instead they have the same transaction ID, is it possible create funnel report by using other ID (instead of user ID) as the join key, we want to bind all of these events into one funnel report *put transaction ID under property hold constant setup doesn't help
Let’s say I have an event which is triggered when suggesting some results, then we expect the user to select some result from the list of results shown which will trigger another event. Now I want to analyse that how many users selected the result from the suggestions and not from other places. So something like funnel from A to B when eventA.results == eventB.selected_result or eventB.selected_result is found in eventA.results. (after dot is the property name under that event). I tried playing with filters and formulas but I couldn’t find anything. Let me know if it is possible to to do it.
Hello, I have two issues with the way that the legend appears when using the breakdown function in the Insights Report. I would like to be able to edit the labels of the items that appear from using the breakdown function. For example, if I create a custom property that sorts an event into “true” and “false”, I would like to be able to edit those labels into something descriptive, like “Rating Higher than 3” and “Rating less than 4”. I would like to be able to change the order that breakdown categories appear. For example, if I breakdown a category by month, I currently might see the order April, then March, then May, when I would prefer for the categories to appear in chronological order and not alphabetical order. I’ve looked across this forum and haven’t found a way to do this yet. If it isn’t possible I would recommend it as an improvement.
Hi there,I want to compare two Properties (Number) on one Event. So my event has two Properties Event::left and Event::right and i want to Compare this two Numbers against each other.Is there a way to do this? I did not found out how i can achieve this. Thanks for your Help.
Hi! I’m a beginner at MixPanel and using analytics in general so please forgive my ignorance.I’d like a report that tracks the user journey of a specific feature in my application. That is, I know of an event that signals the user has entered the application page in question, and (I assume) I’ll have to track an event that signals the user has left the page. Then I would like to see all events that occur while the user is on that application page (screen updates, button clicks, etc.). This could be variable as we’re trying to understand how users are utilizing this new feature page. Is this something I can set up in MixPanel?
Hi, I am comparing an Insights report on a single event and a Funnel with the same exact event as the first step. I set both of the date ranges to be “Since January 28, 2020”, and then update the Insights graph from Linear to Cumulative. I would expect the Insights cumulative number to be the same as the first step in the funnel, but the Insights report shows 20% more hits than the funnel. Also, this discrepancy exists whether I add a filter on the event or not, and also whether I choose Unique or Total. Does anyone know why these would be different or what I am missing here? I am attempting to filter users by summing the integer value of an event. For a purchase event, I want to sum the cost and find out if the user has spent more than X in a specified date range. I want to filter only users that fit this criteria. I have managed to list these by using the aggregate, but I’m not sure how to filter by the sum. Can you help me set this up in insights please?
Hi Mixpanellers, I am trying to get the data below. I wanted some advice if my current approach makes sense In a span of 3 months, I wanted to see the average number of days it takes for User Sign Up to convert to User Start Subscription, broken down per week. In this data, it should only show Subscribed Users. I wanted some advice on how can I do this?Should I….Calculate date of User Start Subscription minus User Sign Up Should I user the formula function to do this? Then get average of the above data per week Filter to a span of 3 months
Hi everyone - long time reader, first time poster. Our company has a certain milestone action that correlates strongly to long term retention. Let’s say it’s posting on this forum, and we see that people who post 5 times are likely to be regular users for years. How can I measure the time to reach that milestone, and ideally be able to group those into cohorts for comparisons of other actions (e.g. users who post 5+ times in 30 days are more likely to answer questions, whereas people who take 60 days to post 5+ times rarely participate in others’ posts) Here’s what I’ve tried, but not 100% sure this is the right thing… I created a funnel report, with the event repeated for 5 steps, and then switching to Time to Convert and bucketing appropriately. Is that the right way to achieve what I’m describing above? Thanks!Luis
Hello all, So I want to build a chart, that gives me at any given day the number of customers that did an event in the last 90 days from that day. So imagine the normal “Insights” graph, with X axis the days, and Y the number of customers that did a certain event, in this case Purchases.So I want to see in any give day (X) the number of customers (Y) that did a transaction in the last 90 days from that day. Is this possible to achieve? Thank you all in advance!
Hello! I am trying to figure out how many of our users used our site every day over a period of time. I have found the following 2 posts which give a decent solution to figuring out this issue. I recreated the above two posts answers in my own project however, I am seeing incorrect data being returned. (Please ignore the difference in dates, I was experimenting, but the issue is still there.) I click into a random user who appears to do all events from the above images, however when I look at their individual page information, the user is missing days. When I look at the above, it looks like they miss May 1 (and several other days below) and so could not have done the event everyday. This same issue I have found with most other users being returned from they query. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I am getting the NPS response directly to mixpanel (from Delighted through Zapier). But I get each response as an event. Example receiving an NPS Event where someone gave us a 10 and someone else a 5 and so on.Now my question is: how can I calculate and draft a graph for the NPS Score which goes from. -100 to +100.Any ideas?
Dear Mixpanel Community,We have an event “Resource shared” with properties “resourceId” (string) and “resourceValue” (number).I would like to create an Insights report on the sum of “resourceValue” of unique resources shared. Basically if a resource gets shared multiple times, I want its “resourceValue” to only be counted once into this total sum.My intuition was to select “Aggregate properties > Sum > resourceValue”, but this includes all events for a resource with a given “resourceId”. “Aggregate properties > Distinct count > resourceId” gives me the number of resources shared. I would like to combine these two somehow, but did not figure out a way on how to do it. I also looked for an “is unique”-like filter among the inline filters but found nothing that would accomplish this unique filtering.Is there a workaround that enables this reporting?
Hi Mixpanel Community, I’ve trying to create LTV dashboards in Mixpanel. I read the article about LTV, but it does say how to do it on Mixpanel. But what I need is to create a table withmonth (initial purchase month),amount of subscriptions,revenue,amount of subscriptions renewed (from the initial purchase month),their revenue We track all those events, but I can’t figure out how to put these events in one table, or break down each of these events by initial purchase months. Would you recommend a way to do this? Or maybe the way that tracking needs to be to do this? Thank you,Maria
