Hi, I have 3 courses. Some users enroll themselves and some users are enrolled by our staff. I need to be able to track all full enrollments (excluding trial enrollments) whether they come from the user or are completed by our staff. Ideally Is there a way to get that information into a report?
Hello guys,I’m not sure if this is possible but I’ll try to ask it here anyway.Imagine I have a cohort “Active Users” defined by the condition “3 rides last 7 days”.I can plot the number of Active Users in the insights report, which tells me the number of users in that particular timeframe. Example:January: 410 Active Users February: 380 Active Users March: 470 Active Users Now I’d like to have more insight into this cohort on each particular month. For instance, I’d like to plot the Average Screen Time (SUM event screen_view by param screen_duration divided by Active Users in the timeframe) done by the Active Users in that particular month using the Insights report. Example:January: 410 Active Users did x avg screen time February: 380 Active Users did y avg screen time March: 470 Active Users did z avg screen time How can I achieve this using a single cohort like the one I mentioned? Thanks in advance!
Hi there, Is there any way to multiply two lists (quantity*price)? There are three properties ‘quantity’, ‘product_id’,‘price’ in ‘purchase’ event.quantity : (from GTM data layer) data type : list example : [1,3,1] product_id : (from GTM data layer) data type : list example : [‘P1’, ‘P3’, ‘P4’] price : (lookup table, key=product_id)so i made custom event sum(quantity*price) to calculate the revenue per user.but values are always undefined. Is there any way to multiply two lists (quantity*price)?
How do funnels show data when breakdown is used on a property of the last event, not present in any other event.
I am carrying out an analysis to understand how many users view a product, after viewing a collection. It is a 2 step funnel. I breakdown this funnel on the property “Viewed product available” which is TRUE when product is available, and FALSE when it’s not. This property comes with the view a product event only. The data that I see is weird. Here is a snapshot. As you can see, for TRUE, it shows 100% conversion rate, which is obviously false. Now, here is what I make of it. As the property “Viewed product available” is only sent with view a product event, Mixpanel has no way to know whether to attribute viewed a collection event to TRUE or FALSE. If this is the case, shouldn’t Mixpanel show the funnel in a different way → The Viewed collection is a single bar chart, and that is broken down into TRUE and FALSE. This would be a better indication. I’d like to ask the experts if what I’m saying makes sense, or am I missing something? Would really appreciate some help! Thanks,Ansh
Hello everyone, I would need your help. I need to calculate the difference in number of business days between 2 different events. However, it seems like I am only able to calculate the time between 2 different events and not the number of business days (a business day is a day in which we do business - meaning from Monday to Friday). Could someone help me please? Thanks!
Hi,I wonder if I did a the right thing with this simple report. I need an insights report that will show users who have been in the app twice in a given period. That is, uses with two sessions.Due to the nature of the product, our focus metric in the app is how many people log in to the App twice in the last 30, 60 or more days.
Is it possible to filter out time between two events in a funnel? We are looking to understand which percentage of our users open up our app again within 7 days. However most app opens that happen after the first app open, occur 0-10 minutes later. Is it possible to see how many people opened the app 24 hours after the first app open event? Filter out counting events that occurred during the same day. Thank you in advance.
We just set up MixPanel for our app.I already have 141 profiles registered by MixPanel. However, I have 170 DAU some days. I have around 800 weekly active users too.How is that possible? Do users not always have profiles? (maybe those that are not logged in?) Are some Daily active users actually the same people? How can I inquire on that?
Hey Mixpanel folks!Would you be able to take a look at updating your intro courses? We regularly need to intro our new employees to Mixpanel & the hosted training resources; the training UI looks pretty out of date vs. your current UI (especially since the awesome new side query update). It would super handy to have an up-to-date centralised training resource to point them to!Training: Current UI: Cheers!
I want to create a cohort graph where the starts are all aligned so I can easily visualize cohort health improving over time (new cohorts churning less, growing in value quicker, etc). Is that possible in mixpanel? Something like this: Seems like a simple feature but I couldn’t find any help articles on it.
Suppose I have a page with the following events:1. event "page_1st" when viewing the page2. event "signup" when clicking on a signup button3. event "sigin" when clicking on a signin button Now supplose I opened my page from a computer, opened my page from an another computer, updated the page for 2 times, clicked the signup button, updated the page for 1 time.As you see I haven't clicked on the signin button. If I open Mixpanel Events I'll see:Event_Name | Distinct_IDpage_1st | user_Bsignup | user_Bpage_1st | user_Bpage_1st | user_Bpage_1st | user_Bpage_1st | user_AIt's OK. But if I open Mixpanel Reports -> funnel and choose events page_1st->signin and Conversion Criteria "TOTALS", I'll see conversion 2-> 0.Why isn't it 5 -> 0?If I choose events page_1st->signup and Conversion Criteria "TOTALS", I'll see conversion 3-> 1.Why isn't it 5 -> 1?How does it work?
I’m unable to save any reports and keep seeing an error message “Failed to save report: Dashboard doesn't exist”. I do have a dashboard for this project.I’m able to save reports in our older projects, so I think it’s something to do with the new dashboard experience. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any help is appreciated!
I’m fairly new to Mixpanel and am struggling with creating the proper cohort for my needs - measuring active users over time. Nothing novel. I have a property on every user that tells me if they are “inactive” and a property that tells me when they’re inactive from. However, through Mixpanel I have a very hard time making a cohort work as a timeseries of active user count based in these two properties. Does anyone here know if this is possible?Or how it could be done with this information, maybe if it’s structured in another way? I have the these two fields on a database, so, I can redo how the properties are written to Mixpanel.
I am trying to find the best way to count how many users opened my app. I thought by using “All events” and counting unique users would be the best way. However, when i access “Users” and try to use a similar filter it doesnt work One example would be using the login event: Here i have 133 users But here it shows me 172:
Hello,I have a retention report that is based on our most engaged users which is a dynamic cohort that I’ve defined using user properties and funnels. The membership in this cohort changes over time.I’m tracking retention for this cohort using a cohort filter. I’d like to be able save snapshots of the retention report and then compare them, but because the cohort is dynamic, people are coming into the cohort all the time. When membership changes I can see different results in retention periods that were 2 or 3 months back, so I can’t track retention over time properly. Is there a way that I can save a copy of my dynamic cohort whenever I want to take a snapshot? So for example, today (March 3, 2022) I have 3000 users in the cohort and I’d like to take a copy of the cohort without the dynamic definition and always be able to recreate the retention report I ran on March 3rd, 2022. But I can’t see any way of doing that, if I do Cohorts-->View Users-->Save, mixpanel just saves a new c
In our application you first need to go trough a setup before you can start. We like to know what steps they took, skipped, ect, ect,..This wizard contains of 9 steps. Is it best to have:9 different events for each step or to have one event called ‘setup’ containing the property ‘step = 1’
Analyzing DAU / MAU can be difficult since you are measuring 2 metrics which are based on different time periods. Through Mixpanel's custom reporting language JQL and custom reporting capabilities, such an analysis can be made and easily visualized. An example of a custom application which calculates DAU / MAU that can be copied into your Mixpanel project can be found below.<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://cdn.mxpnl.com/libs/mixpanel-platform/css/reset.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://cdn.mxpnl.com/libs/mixpanel-platform/build/mixpanel-platform.v0.latest.min.css"> <script src="https://cdn.mxpnl.com/libs/mixpanel-platform/build/mixpanel-platform.v0.latest.min.js"></script> </head> <body class="mixpanel-platform-body">
Hello!Every anonymous user gets an automatically generated id from Mixpanel - example: 039852ed-7ceb-47ef-88bd-766a14f46aa9 - and then we set our own custom id on authentication. So it’s common for a user to have several mixpanel ids such as the example mentioned, along with one custom id set in the client (ie the id that matches user in our DB).The issue:I’d like to breakdown users by this custom id, but sometimes I get some users with the anonymous ids and other times I get them with custom ids. Is there any way to always default to custom ids?Example use case:Get all people that did X event last 7 days Breakdown by Distinct ID Get table with the ids (custom, not mixpanel anonym id) of users who did event XThanks in advance!
I am trying to use the flow report but is not making sense for me the way it is working. When i generate the report without any hidden events, it shows me that there were 306 “CliquesSolicitarNovaConsultaSC” after “acessoSolicitaçãoConsulta”, but i when i hide the events, this number increases to 366. So, my question is: Why it increases? Shouldn’t it be the same? Hidden events caseUnhidden events
I’m trying to set up DAU / WAU / MAU as percentages but can’t figure out how to do so.I currently have them set up as unique counts - how do I make them percentages? Thanks.I might have missed this completely so please let me know if it’s already up / obvious somewhere!
We are split testing some funnels. We have built a funnel analysis that works fine with them aggregated. However when we use the breakdown by current url it make urls based on every variation of url with different UTM’s. Ideally I’d like to aggregate all those funnel attributes into the root url. I’m sure I can make another field that has the base url. However I thought there might be something more elegant. Also if you look at the “current url” at the event level it doesn’t have the utm’s on it. Just when you do the breakdown.
