How to convert metric into percentage?

Hey,

I’ve seen this question asked before but it doesn’t address what I’m trying to do.

I want to set up a new insights report which takes the total number of unique sessions and account sign ups - then converts it into a percentage to indicate what the sign up rate was.

I can figure that out using the ‘formula’ - A / B * 100. However, that produces an actual number. I want to convert this into a percentage to view on the report and put into a dashboard. But there doesn’t seem to be an option to do that?

All the examples I’ve found show the old dashboard.

For reference, here’s an exact example of what I’m wanting:

  • 3,921 unique users in the last 30 days
  • 202 sign ups in the last 30 days
  • 202 / 3,921 * 100 = 5.15.

Convert that to percentage, 5.15%. I want to display that as a percentage rather than just ‘5.15’ so it’s totally clear for people.

Hi @jonnicholson it seems the funnel report is better suited for this and it will give you a conversion % which will display on the dashboard. There’s an example here.
