Can you change how URLs are displayed in reports?

I’m wanting to build a ‘sign up’ report, which tracks in what area of the website users sign up. I’m doing this by adding our ‘Sign up’ event, and then adding a breakdown of ‘Current URL’.

Right now, Mixpanel tracks what URL the event occurs on, so we can just use that URL in our report.

However, it’s not very user friendly or easy to understand for reporting purposes.

At the moment, the URLs are displayed like this:

When it’d be good if they could be displayed like this:

  • Paramater 1
  • Paramater 2
  • Paramater 3

Is there a way I can change how the breakdown values are displayed?

Hi there Jon,

James from Mixpanel here.

A custom property should be able to help you here. If you navigate to the property dropdown list at the bottom of the list you should see an option for a custom property.

Using the example you have detailed a formula such as REGEX_EXTRACT(Current URL, "/apps#/(.*)", 1) would allow you to extract the paramatar and number from the string.

Hope this helps - let us know if you have any questions at all.

James
