Are cohorts the only way to report on user teams/groups/companies etc.

Every user on our platform belongs to a team - I don't think creating a cohort for every team (180+ teams) is a good way to manage details. Should we create a whole new property to track team based data?

Hi @iCanAutomate,

You can use our set up guides to help you get started with group analytics. The guides show how set up your group keys, adding users to groups, creating group profiles, setting up group profile properties, and setting up individual user profiles. The instructions connected to the library you are using can be found in Mixpanel's Developer Documentation.

Below I have linked to each individual library relating to their group analytics section

@longy

We currently recommend utilizing cohorts, custom events, or setting specific group level properties to analyze user activity at the group level.

That being said, we are actively working on a way to make it easier to report on groups of users!

Imagine toggling between analyzing data by individual user, company, device - or any other way you define or group your customers. With Group Analytics, B2B companies can tell which accounts are healthy, which are at-risk, and see how product usage impacts account health. Hardware companies can better understand how devices or assets are used over their lifetime, to more accurately forecast and allocate resources. This gives you the flexibility to analyze and define your customers in a way that makes the most sense for your business.

We are opening a beta, and if you are interested in joining the beta please reach out to account-level-reporting@mixpanel.com. Please note that Group Analytics will be a paid package the requires an Enterprise plan.

Hi @cherise, we have purchased the group property add-on and have the following query:

Our accounts have the folowing hierarchy: Companies - Teams - Users. What do you suggest is the best way to send Company annd Team data to be able to perform analysis as per all levels?
